For the second year running the Morgan Motor Company is a major sponsor for Bromyard Speed Festival.
Automotive manufacturing was first started in Bromyard by the Pettifer family. This was by way of chassis components for the Morgan Three Wheeler of 1910, prior to the building of the Malvern factories. At the Bromyard Speed Festival, Morgan is the featured marque, due to its special association with Bromyard and being the last British owned motor manufacturer.
So that is now 107 years that Morgan has been linked to Bromyard and Morgan have encouraged and supported us in the early days of planning our speed festival and have provided material assistance in both 2016 and 2017.
At current count there will be 16 or 17 Morgan vehicles at this year’s festival. The following slide show presents 11 of them. But please be sure to come along and see them run around town or view them close up in the paddocks.
The 2017 Bromyard Speed Festival takes place on Sunday 2nd April 2017 in the centre of Bromyard. Vehicles run around the town centre circuit from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm with a break for lunch. Access to the circuit is free for spectators although a small charge is made for entry to the paddocks. Ample parking is available – details here.
This event is run by a not-for-profit Community Interest Company and all profits are awarded to local charities.
